Can you ever really have too many books? I ask myself that question quite a lot, as I literally have them stacked everywhere. Many are books I’ve yet to read and even more are books that I want to read again. I can hardly convince myself to get rid of books – I love them. I love them for reference, for sharing, for decor. There is just so much history and knowledge to books, which lends them perfectly to styling a room.
Of course, not all of my books are as beautiful as the ones available at our antique show, but I think that a few of those antique ones mixed in goes a long way. I’m always reminded of one of my favorite books, “The Great Gatsby” when I see rows and rows of books available for sale. I don’t think that you should avoid buying old books, just because of Gatsby, but I do think that’s all the more reason to open them – and peruse the pages within. After all, there are great words to be found in many of these old classics!
